About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Head of Operations (Travel Partnerships Manager) to lead our travel partnerships and operational processes. In this role, you’ll be the bridge between local travel operators and our platform, ensuring smooth onboarding, high-quality service delivery, and strong, long-term relationships.

You will play a critical role in scaling our operations, building efficient processes, and maintaining the standards that make Adventure Horizons a trusted travel platform. This position combines relationship management, operational strategy, and process optimization to support our growing network of partners and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partnership Development & Management
    • Identify, onboard, and support local travel operators to expand our network.
    • Negotiate partnership agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and adherence to quality standards.
    • Foster strong, long-term relationships with suppliers and partners.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Build and refine scalable processes for tour management, booking coordination, and customer support.
    • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations and troubleshoot issues promptly.
    • Monitor operational performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Compliance & Risk Management
    • Ensure partners comply with local travel laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
    • Implement processes to maintain safety, reliability, and quality standards across all offerings.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with product, marketing, and growth teams to align partner operations with platform goals.
    • Provide operational insights to inform strategy and improve the overall customer experience.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 4+ years of experience in travel operations, partnerships, supplier management, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of African travel markets is a significant advantage.
  • Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and scale operational processes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance partner needs and platform goals effectively.
